Biting nails, fidgeting, shifty eyes, unable to make or hold eye contact with you. They can appear anxious, and also appear to be uncertain about what they're saying. So they could be telling you a story, that they where directly involved in, but it will seem they're telling you about it as if they weren't actually there. So basically they're making it up. However, many people don't have symptoms when lying. I don't lie often, but when I do, I don't usually have any.
