  • If success is defined as exceeding an income level of 75k some years I'm successful, others I am not. As far as messy tidy goes I can accurately self report that my 10 year old newspaper and cigarette butt collection are neatly stacked throughout the house.
  • I'm very messy, and I barely make any money yet, but hopefully I'll be in the 11th percentile when I graduate and get a real job!
  • Well for a number of years I averaged about $150k, and I was very preoccupied with neatness. Now that my level of ambition and stress have fallen, I'm more relaxed about that. So I guess I'm not too impressed with the survey as an indicator of anything important.
  • My husband and I have a combined total of $300 K a year...I'm a neat freak and he's a slob. I have no idea of the significance of that, but you asked.
  • I won't reveal my salary, but will say am doing well. As well as I like. But there is some missing data here. What about those making $35,001 to $74,999? Are they neither neat nor messy, and why that's a good middle class income -- or, basically, may be called your "average slob."
  • I think perhaps those over $75K are more likely to hire someone to clean after them. So they pay less attention to neatness in general. The under $35K crowd have to do it themselves. Let's just say I am successful and could probably use some tidiness improvements. lol
