That was 53 years before i was born...

I lived in Hawaii while my husband was stationed in Pearl Harbor. We used to go to the Arizona Memorial. It is a very sad place.

Yep, we discussed it, even though we weren't alive then.

I was born the following year, but I have several family members who were in the Navy at the time, including my Dad. Dad had just taken a new ship on it's maiden cruise to Pearl Harbor, but it developed engine trouble and returned to Mare Shipyards, in Alameda CA, just before the attack took place. My brother was born three weeks later.
