Since marijuana isn't addictive like alcohol, less harm would done by it's legalization than the legality of alcohol, which is addictive, has more health risks, and causes violent and criminal behavior in some in some instances.

The bad part is that in the USA, everything is overdone. Look at all the marketing for Miley Cyrus. Now imagine that much marketing done for Marijuana. Ads on TV and in magazines, games, websites, billboards 24/7... You're not a man if you don't smoke Marlboro Marijuana! I would have not problem with people quietly smoking in their kitchens, I'd have BIG problems with this being the next big craze and everyone has to smoke a bigger doobie than their neighbor.

I suppose it depends on how you look at it. It would bring on the benefits of relieving our already crowded prison system and allow law enforcement to concentrate on more serious offenses. Then maybe we can place more of our attention on treatment and prevention rather than punishment and costly imprisonment.

not at all; a big deal would be made out of it at first and everyone that smoked would rush out and buy it. but then after everything settled down it would be no big deal. marijuana isn't dangerous, it should be legalized.

Yes because alot of people would suffer from memory loss, laziness, shortness of breath. There are side effects to this drug and it would effect society depending on how much you use and there will always be abusers also do note that the drug may act differently on young people compared to old people.

no one knows for certain yet, there need to be massive studies carried out on the effects of long term usage, however such studies are not legal, so maybe when they allow marijuana to be researched we will no in my opinion no, it would probably help the nation, including the government who could imposed taxes on it and also note* if it was legalized the price would drop drastically, like kush would be $10 or so an eight because of an incredibly huge increase in supply and a relatively stable demand

yes it would be bad. Although Im a big supported of marijuana, there are TOO many dumbasses that abuse weed.. which makes us smokers look bad.

It wouldn't be all that bad. Indulging in those types of things isn't good for you so it would be bad in that regard, but it's better for you then both cigarettes and alcohol so it would be good in that regard.

I don't believe it would be a bad thing at all. The majority of all the drug related fatality's I hear of involve alcohol. Marijuana has earned an unwarranted reputation of being a gateway drug to more serious narcotics. This reputation is nothing more than government propaganda as I know for a fact that alcohol is a more dangerous gateway drug. The reason why the government doesn't want to legalize marijuana is because of it's potential of becoming an underground type of currency. Marijuana can be grown almost anywhere, and it has a high trade potential. If you can imagine growing your own money tree in your own back yard, behold the marijuana plant. However, if the government ever does legalize marijuana, they won't allow you to grow your own, that would still be illegal. But you will be able to go to 7-11 and buy a pack of Acapulco Gold manufactured and taxed by a governmentally regulated tobacco manufacturer.

Yes, it would be bad. It's almost the same as alcohol, little kids who think their cool and theyll buy marijuana and get fu*cked up. People who smoke, smoke to relax and chill, those who abuse marijuana gave it a bad name. Marijuana isnt 'dangerous', but it comes with responsiblities. If your smoking to get fu*cked up,and know you can't handel it,or plan on doing something stupid, then you have no purpose in having a bong in your hand. Your just ruining it for the rest of us..
