Well..how about this? ...merely a wish without a dream instead of a wish without a hope. Just seems to fit better. Happy Sunday! :)
-
Yes. A goal w/out plan is a plan to fail.

I'd say, "a goal without a plan and effort is merely a wish." You can have goal and a plan, but if you don't carry through with the plan, then the planning doesn't add anything toward the goal. It's putting forth the effort to achieve that goal with the plan that makes it possible.

sounds reasonable to me.

Nope, cause I'm quick on my feet.
-
Maybe. Or, a Goal without a plan is a wish without a star? one always hopes when wishing.
-
I would say it is a definate parallel...good thought for me right now!!
-
I like that...

Yes, I think it's true.

Yes, but a plan without goals and affirmations has been scientifically proven to be equally faulty. For example, people often plan to lose weight, but under-estimate the value of concrete written goals in terms of tapping into the subconcious' power to help achieve it. Stating goals in the affirmative (i.e. "I look great fitting into my new jeans") tricks the subconscious mind into believing it is an accomplished fact, which helps realize the goal by subconsciously reinforcing the necessary behaviors to get there.

Pretty much.

The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You'll also quickly spot the distractions that would otherwise lure you from your course. Goal setting techniques are used by top-level athletes, successful business-people and achievers in all fields. They give you long-term vision and short-term motivation. They focus your acquisition of knowledge and help you to organize your time and your resources so that you can make the very most of your life. By setting sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. You can see forward progress in what might previously have seemed a long pointless grind. By setting goals, you will also raise your self-confidence, as you recognize your ability and competence in achieving the goals that you have set.

It is just a wish, but not one "without a hope." Antoine de Saint-Exupery: French poet. The last 3 words "without a hope" are not his. "We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope." MLK Axe
