Web-based sales are the lowest cost. Your site will have to be well designed and your photos of excellent quality to work well.

Starbucks sometimes have art walls, and you can sign up for free, and they put your art on the wall, and you'll get contacted when people want to buy it.

Some people have had good luck selling things on EBay. Yes, there are many other sellers, but there are also many more buyers there. In the case of art though, presumably no other seller is selling EXACTLY what you offer, so there's really no direct competition, and many people will buy things from more than one seller. Read about keywords and their importance in selling. Certain items such as "Erotic ceramics" have a large collector base.
