Sadly, my girlfriend back then looked nothing like Laura Prepon. I did have some of the exact posters they have on that show, though. But still -- my girlfriend didn't look anything like Laura Prepon.

No, for those of us who remember the 70s, the show is not one that takes us back to that time.

I only watched the first couple of seasons of "That 70's Show" so that's all I can base my answer on. I did grow up in the midwest in the 70's (small town Nebraska) and would have to say, in my opinion, that it's not too far off. Some stuff exagerated to make it funnier of course, but more of it looking true to my experience. It was an interesting time.

from what I have seen. yes! however I was not alive in the 70s

How does sarcasm go down here? Lets just say it accurately potrays life in the seventies in the same way that friends accurately potrays life in the nineties...

pretty close. my mind is alittle fuzzy.too much time in the circle back then.

From what little of it I can remember. . . .yes. One of my Aunts actually WAS a deadringer for Laura Prepon complete with a cheesy Boston t-shirt. It was all fine until she decided to worship Peter Frampton :)

I lived through the 70's from the ages 6 to 16. The show brought back alot of memories, but some things were very different.

Is it exactly historically accurate? No, probably not. Did every single teenager grow up in Wisconsin and hang out in a basement? No, not likely. But there are some things that may have been similar. Dress, music, attitudes (though toned down) may have been similar. It's a comedy but there are some things that do fit.

It wasn't bad. Did a good job of showing that time from the point of view of that kind of group, yes. The other, "That 80s Show," was nothing ike the 80s I remembered. Maybe why it lasted all of 4 or 5 shows, maybe.
