I've been receiving random emails from random people filled with nothing but 2 totally random phrases. Is this some new sort of spam or what? It's kinda like this guy's problem (in the link)

Yes, it's a sort of spam. It happened at our office and eventually the techs figured out how to block it. Just assume it's bad and delete it. If you can delete without opening it, even better.
