  • In many parts of Africa it's considered neater to have the female genitals removed and no forward continuation of the butt crack but just smooth skin with a single opening for urine and menstrual flow. In some areas this came about because many girls had particularly large clitores which interfered physically with having sexual relations, but it is generally held now in the US that such female genital modification is bad and amounts to mutilation. It is therefore illegal in the US. Strangely, however, in the US most parents have their baby boys' penis modified by removing about 50% of the skin -- the foreskin which covers the glans and is actually doubled over, so twice the length that it appears to be.
  • Actually, the practice of circumcision on boys and girls has no religious significance at all because the person being circumcised has made no choice of their own free will concerning their religious belief... . As the legal principal of "informed consent" has held up in courts of every U.S. State, I have no idea how the physical assault and battery of penis mutilation is still being legally performed by doctors.
