It really depends. I'll give most people a bye once or twice. If the person seems to delight in defaming and being bigoted against others repeatedly, I will call them on it. There are a few ABers that come to mind.

It really depends on who the person is. Do I know that they are a "serial" bigot? Do they usually flame, DR, attack others? Or, if I don't know them, are they really ignorant/naive and honestly seeking to learn the truth? I will try to answer those. Although, sometimes those do turn out to be someone who "attacks."

I'm afraid that my personality prevents me from leaving it alone, so I tell the person that he would enjoy a better conversation if he was more polite. I normally get downrated for it, but at least he knows what I think.

Don't cause if you do they might say something you wish you haven't of done.

In some cases, just leave them alone.....those tinged with arrogance (even though it shows they have no clue about the subject) I comment.....if they persist in their ignorance and arrogance, I unsub.....
