Well I'm biased, but for me British. In general I think the British make better comedy TV, and the Americans make better comedy films.

Well, for example I've seen both the American and British version of the office, and while the brits made it first, I must say the American version is funnier. As far as sitcoms in general go though, I'm not sure. It's very close. I think they're both funny, and it would greatly depend on the show itself really.

I much prefer British, but I am British and I think the sitcoms demonstrate that there is a huge difference in what each nationality finds funny. I've posted this clip before because I think it is very funny indeed, but I imagine very few Americans will find much to laugh at in it.

I tend to laugh at the British sitcoms more often. Something like According to Jim or Friends isn't as consistently funny.

Well I'd obviously say British, because I am. There are American sitcoms I like, and British ones I don't, though. But our humour is better to me in general.
