  • My husband loved this stuff called "Chicken Tonight!" It came in a jar, and you pan fried chicken breasts and then poured the sauce over it. He loved it with rice. To me, it was like an expensive condoment.
  • I have only had one thing in my life become discontinued. It was a snowboarding game for the Playstation2. It was discontinued because no one was buying it. And it makes sense. What is the point of providing for a market that doesn't produce profit? I find that things that get discontinued are taken away for good reason. In my case, it was because I had interest in a niche market that was proved, at the time, to be unprofitable. Maybe this is true in your case too. Limited editions, on the other hand are a completely different beast. They are marketing plans to help move product. Say you find a Limited edition CD. Limited edition would probably mean there is already a market for what is being sold. Such a good market in fact, that people are sometimes willing to pay more for something as trivial as different cover art or a crappy little booklet that I'll only read once. Personally, I find that owning things that are limited edition would be for bragging rights. Something you can show off to your friends, assuming they only have the regular edition. I never seem to bother with them though. Maybe I'm just too stingy with my money. :)
