I tend towards #2, but I factor in what my heart tells me as well as my head.

Both ... let your emotions be the powerful force that gives you the energy needed to GO and the general compass for a vague direction ... but let your logic be your chauffeur thereby getting you wisely to where you wish to GO to ...

If my head doesn't "approve" my heart isn't interested. I do better relying on my brain than my heart..the brain can figure things out logically..the heart is big massive mess of soft tissue and can't think at all! :)

There are those types who wear their heart on their sleeve. And then there's me. Sorry, but I'd have to say "2". Go with what my head is telling me. It's looking out for my best interest. The heart, on its own, is foolish.

My head and heart tend to be in synch. I try to think my way through a situation and evaluate how I should react based on what feels right. This feeling is a gut instinct, and for me my gut encompasses what I think and what I feel. If I doubt, I follow my heart. I know my intentions are always good, and so I try to trust myself even if I haven't rationalized all of it yet.

Unfortunately I go with my heart most of the time. Gets me in trouble
