Edward is a vampire. Bella falls in love with him and him with her. It is not very safe to love a vampire. I can not come up with another sentence. There are millions in the book and the back cover is the best summary avaliable. "About three things I was absolutely positve. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him-and I didn't know how dominant that part might be-that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him."
