  • 'Tude and the ability to deliver comedy can be rightly viewed as proof of sentience. Daleks are not some hive mind and there will always be those pots that really aren't a Dalek's Dalek. It takes all kinds to rule the cosmos....
  • These Daleks are part of the "Cult of Skaro". They were specially engineered and assigned to think as their enemies, in order to better understand and eventually overcome them through the use of cunning and imagination, rather than logic. They are rather different from the typical Dalek in this way, and even have been adopted names to enhance their uniqueness and separation form the rest of the Dalek race. So yeah! I like 'em. They threw down with the Cybermen! That in itself is pretty rockin' and a step up from previous uber-Daleks. Their use of sarcasm and vernacular is pretty in-step with the new series and is really enjoyable. -------------- Now here's something I CAN'T seem to accept with open arms just yet: The Doctor's use of his sonic screwdriver as a weapon that he yields like Harry Potter's wand. Not that Doctor Who has ever been the model of air-tight continuity or plausible reason, but this seems a little much.
  • I love them. They are so horribly wonderful. I love their voice and think they would make wonderful vacuum cleaners if properly altered. "Identify yourself!!!" Check out this awesome video.
  • I love the newer version much better. Let's face it, the special effects weren't good for most of the first series. Things in that regard have improved. I think the behavior changes also reflect a little more of our current culture.
