No, Unless you want to end up in jail. You cannot use deadly physical force on another person unless, It is to protect you or someone else from deadly physical force. PERIOD! Someone breaking into your house poses no threat, YET. Put a knife in his hand and you can Whackem!

unless there is a reason to suspect you or your family is in danger of physical harm (if he's carrying a gun or knife in order to harm you or your family). You cant just shoot someone for B & E.

You can`t do that because it is against the law however you may can only shoot someone breaking into your house for defense if he tries to kill you.

LOUISIANA: On Wednesday, the House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee reported out HB 36 by Representative Pete Schneider (R-90) & HB 760 by Representative Steve Scalise (R-82), two bills amending the state’s emergency powers laws to prevent New Orleans-style gun confiscations in the event of another natural disaster in Louisiana. The committee also reported out HB 89 by Representative Eric LaFleur (D-38) & Representative Troy Hebert (D-49), NRA-supported "Castle Doctrine" legislation similar to Florida’s landmark law passed in 2005. All of these measures will be considered by the full House next week. Good luck. If passed you just like me and every other Florida resident will have the right to kill ANY intruder. When the law passed here home invasions and burglaries dropped 85%!
