He's not a great actor, by any means (although I do love Rainman)... I think maybe he put for "feeling" into the couch-jumping than he has into most of his acting.

I don't know why people are making such a big deal of the couch jumping thing, it's not like he smashed windows or had orgasms in public haha. All he did was jump on Oprah's couch a few times, didn't you ever feel so crazy about a person that you wanted to jump all over the place in joy?

I never thought he was the greatest of actors (although I am partial to Rain Man and Top Gun) but I think he has reached his zenith and is on the way down...so he is probably better at couch jumping these days.
