  • When you know something has to be done or you have to be someplace at a certain time simply make time for it. I hate procrastination.
  • do the work as soon as you get it
  • Just do it
  • GETT"ER DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! Once you pick something up don't put it down, till you gett'er done!!!!!!!!!!
  • Forgive me for this, but I'll say get up off your "BUTT" and do it....................Just my point of view......M.C.S.
  • I'll tell you tomorrow.
  • Make lists of the things you want to accomplish each day, mark them off as you go, and promise yourself at the end of the day if you do at least half of those things, you'll treat yourself to 'something' of your choice. :)
  • I'll have to get back with you on that.
  • just go ahead and do it but i should take my own advice
  • Just buckle down and do it. Don't go onto your Myspace when you know you have a project due next week. Force yourself through it. It saves hours of sleep deprivation.
  • I say wait 'till tomorrow...
  • sit down , feet propped up have a cold drink of your choice.. ponder and then ponder some more.. you will come up with something LOL..(( Kidding )).. when I find myself procrastinating and I know I need to start or finish something.. I just make myself get up and get Buisy !! at times easier said then done.. this I realize !!
  • I'm assuming you mean dealing with one's own procrastination and not someone else's? On that assumption, maybe recognizing what procrastination causes you is a start. Procrastination limits your options. If you wait until the last minute to get your airline tickets, you are limited in seat choices, flight times and possibly any available discounts. If you procrastinate in getting your car registered, you have to dodge police cars in the hope that you'll go undiscovered. If you procrastinate getting a report done, you limit opportunities to revise and perfect it, if you even get it turned in at all. And of course if you don't get it turned in on time, you're risking your grade point average or your career opportunities. Turning yourself around about procrastination involves personal accountability, taking charge of your own life and your own choices, and recognizing that NOT acting is also a choice. All choices have consequences, and only you an decide which consequences you are willing to accept.
  • I was going to answer that in detail but ..I will put it off till tomorrow
  • Eh. It can wait. Just deal with it later ;)
  • I usually procrastinate when it's a big nasty job that I'm putting off. When I absolutely have to get it done, I'll mentally break it down into chunks (Let me just get through the first 20 lines of this Excel document), then I'll take a short break as a reward. Then I'll do the next 20 lines of the doc, and so on. Large daunting tasks are much easier to handle when their broken down into pieces.
  • I really wish I knew the answer to that!! I am an intelligent woman but I am often putting off stuff, especially at work.
  • I would start by getting OFF AB. Its not the best place to be when your good at procrastinating and you've got other important things to do. Good Luck with your studies.
  • Make a list of everything you need to get done and when it needs to be done by. Keep it in a place you'll always see it. That way, you won't be able to ignore things as easily and you might even get a sense of accomplishment when you start seeing things being checked off!
  • Just wait until tomorrow. Maybe by then, someone else will have dealt with it.
  • I'll tell ya later.
  • Make a plan for yourself and stick to it!! Remove all distractions from around you, and if you are working on a computer, block sites that you waste time on a lot, and unblock them when you are done with your work.
  • worry about it tomorrow
  • if you want somthing done do it your self
  • we used to make games out of cleaning like globe trotter basket ball where we tried to clean up by throwing everything into the place it belonged...or speed cleaning...and I learned to deal with procrastination the same way...make whatever you do as fun as possible...or promise yourself treats after....I used to make myself get up during commercials to do my chores and stuff,,it became such a habit that I never can sit still through a movie anymore.
