Help answer this question below.
Both would interest me... I would look closer at how the "cause" was run and how much of my money actually goes to the action I support.
Humanitarian
Humanitarian
Both are very important but with the actual world situation I believe donating to humanitarian causes is vital.
Environmental causes are humanitarian causes. It is not very humane to inflict environmental problems on the current planetary inhabitants and succeeding generations.
However, I don't surmise that all humanitarian causes are necessarily environmental ones as well.
Probably humanitarian..specifically for children! :)
Humanitarian:)
Environmental. Lots of people think humanity should take precedence but my way of thinking is if there is no environment how will humanity survive.
I'm actually going to do both, 2009 will be the first year I do one charity per month (donating what I can afford) so I'm going to donate to each cause I agree with - environmental and humanitarian. :)
I've done both, but lately I donate mostly to humanitarian causes, the need is so great.
Difficult choice. I would think that supporting an environmental cause always will benefit humanity. The question is, will supporting humanity also benefit the environment? If so, I will first support a humanitarian cause. But if that cause will neglect the environment, I will support an environmental cause.
I think that both are essential. After all pollution kills people every day.
But if I have to really choose I would say "humanitarian" (what I do regularly)
Although both are wise choices...probably the humanitarian Zack!
Enviromental
Good question. They are both worthy causes, what ever one came to me first.
Humanitarian
Isn't the environment also for humans?
humanitarian
Humanitarian, I am a bit of a skeptic in the face of alot of environmental issues.
Funnily enough though I generally care more about animals than humans...
Environmental
Both.
Neither I would rather give my money to the nice lady downtown that will in return give me a little something. Last time she gave me crabs but I'm not judging.
humanitarian
the important thing is that we GIVE. i agree with others, environmental causes ultimately are humanitarian, and, according to the pundits, will become more so, with mass relocation of hundreds of millions of people and starvation and thirst and wars to control borders all due to global warming.
.
.
i'm a strange bird. i donate about 5% to humanitarian causes. 3% to environmental causes. 3% to educational causes. 3% to political action concerns. 3% to religious / spiritual concerns. and, a modest amount to, gulp, the NRA and the ACLU. all the rest goes to my ex-wife.
First--I would rather donate to a humanitararian cause because for one it covers a large group of people and there are more things to concern. Theres cover Human Rights Groups; Save The Forests; and anything that that helps people.
humanitarian
I just love people
humanitarian
