Job, A Comedy of Justice by Robert Heinlein. It was a reread, I admit as it is an old classic. It is a very good book.

I don't know if I would say it was the best book I read this year, but Blaze by Stephen King was a real surprise, not his usual type of book, more a crime story. He wrote it as Richard Bachman years ago.

Catch 22. I had read it years ago but lost my copy. I saw it and decided to buy another one because I had loved it so much the first time. And it was even better this time.
