Sure. If they have a pond in their back yard, it's fine with me if they own the beach around the whole pond. But on national navigable waterways, including major rivers, great lakes and oceans, NO, NEVER!

No, I don't think a beach should ever be privately owned, there should be public access.

no way if they already are rich enough to own a house on the beach they are already in the minority, but to allow them to restrict access to the shore is intolerable elitism poor people will never be able to afford a home on the beach, at least let them enjoy the beach!!
