  • Some people create multiple accounts so they can downrate others (trolls) or write questions/answers that they don't want attached to their profiles - like if they want to be mean or rude. Others I think may do it, if they have a valid personal question that they want to ask but also perhaps don't want other AB members to know about (ie. a sexual question)
  • i think its so they can show people they know one account full of legitimate questions and answers, and have a secret account where they ask questions they really want to know that may be embarrasing to them if other people they knew saw.
  • Personal questions they feel uncomrtable to talk about unless they have no alias.
  • I think like O_hare, that if one becomes well known/popular on here they may feel uncomfortable exposing their relationship/sexual/psychological, or just plain ignorance problems on here.

  • People used to use them to ask questions that they did not want people to attribute to them . things they felt embarrassed to ask. I have never been able to see the point in trying to keep more than one account running.
  • To revive their primary account's old questions. To attack ABers they don't like. To cause controversy.
