I think you just did! And I wouldnt email someone- thats a great way of amassing email addresses to sell them or use them to sell directly too- I hate SPAM!

Could be that maybe this person doesn't have access to answerbag from a computer at work, but would still like to be able to discuss things with other users during the time they are at work?

I'm not quite understanding the question, I'm fairly new.

I've posted my email address in a couple comments to an answer because the comments were turning into a discussion that was getting off-topic from the original answer. Obviously, it's up to you as to whether to answer via email. I use a "throw-away" email address, because I'm taking more of a spam risk than the person who responds via email. Email addresses are so easy to get nowadays, I don't see much risk in emailing someone, or having someone email me. If they turn out to be a spammer, then I just cancel the account.

Maybe they mean if you would like to debate the topic or your thoughts on their opinion? I have gotten an email letting me know exactly what someone thought of my opinion (not so nice)lol and a couple others to swap files with. With the dramatic personalities I see on here lately.. I think sometimes people feel more comfortable discussing an issue that is important to them away from the hateful, the holier than thou or the little groups that try and moderate the site to their own personal liking in what and who they want on it.

If you are not sure, you could ask a question about it to hear other people's opinion. If you have a strong impression that spamming is involved, you could flag those answers as spam. If it seems to happen on a regular basis, it would be even better to report the problem with the "Feedback" link at the bottom of the page. You could then give an accurate description with some details and various examples.
