How come you can speak out against racism and sexism, but you can't speak out against bad parenting - when that is where most racism and sexism is derived?

I am a huge proponent against racism, homophobia, sexism, and anything of such a nature. I always question someone's upbringing when these things come to light. I am also a firm believer in being against bad parenting. While I don't have any offspring of my own, I have a really harsh view of bad parents. I actually broke off a friendship entirely recently with someone that I had re-connected with who was one of my best childhood friends because she was such a bad parent and was creating a monster. I couldn't deal with the situation anymore. I was fortunate enough to have good parenting and it's despicable for me to see parents who don't put their children's futures and needs first.

good question! bad parenting is indeed a source of many of society's ills!

Because the family types are too sensitive and people only care about feelings, we wouldn't want the poor mother to think badly of her "excellent" parenting skills. It's BS I know.
