Whitney Houston's version of the Star-spangled Banner. I swear every kid growing up to day is going to think her interpolated "high" note on the word "free" is actually part of the anthem. I'm all for artistic freedom but come on, its the national anthem people. Quit Fing it up!

Oh so many! Atomic Kitten - The Tide Is High (Blondie) Whitney Houston doing "I Will Always Love You." (When Dolly Parton sung it you felt like she was totally heart-broken. When Whitney sings it you just hear glass breaking.) ANYONE, ANYONE, ANYONE who isn't Janis Joplin doing "Take Another Little Piece of My Heart", but especially Beverly Knight. Anyone other than Carole King or Aretha Franklin doing "Natural Woman" The Corrs doing "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac. Mel C from the Spice Girls doing "Anarchy in the UK" Anything at all sung by a contestant on "The X Factor".

In my opinion Emma Bunton ruined Downtown for me. I used to love listneing to it but when she sings it I have to turn the sound off.
