When one uses a "VANITY" License, and it becomes time to renew it. Do you have to pay again to keep your same "VANITY" License, or just the normal cost of renewing a normal set of License?

You have to pay the usual registration renewal fee AND a small yearly fee (about $40 or so) for the personalized plates. I know, I've been doing it for 18 years.

Here in the UK they are called "Cherished Numbers" ,after you origanally buy the plate,anything from a few £'s to £1000,s depending on the lettering,then you pay £80 to have it tranfered to your own car . My plate was brought for me by my wife for my 60th Birthday ,for £399 . The annual tax is then normal inline with other vehicles ,a private car here is taxed on its exhaust emmissions the lowest amount being around £15 pa (electric/hybrids) the highest 4x4 gas guzzlers paying £444 pa,my own Honda Jazz is £105pa.

That would likely depend on the state in the US. In WA state there is a fee every year. Some may be different.
