Chinese Democracy,isn't that a contradiction?

Can't we imagine the state of their Democracy from the hype and propaganda they make about it? There is no democracy in China the way the Greek philosophers - Socreties, Plato and Aristotle - of yore described it.

What I have heard of it is pretty good, but I think that is because I expected it to be really bad.

I have heard it, and it actually is pretty damn good. Maybe not waiting 14 years good, but it is a damn good album.

Might have been good 15 years ago when people (like myself) would have given a s*&%.

It took $13 million and 14 years to make. Was it worth it - NO. Axl took so long and made a very sub-par album and expects every G&R fan to buy it - that's the only way he'll turn a profit. If people listened to it before buying, it would be a much different story....it sucks but some of the guitar work (mainly buckethead's stuff) is awesome. I refuse to call it G&R anymore . Guns N Posers maybe!!!! I wish i was living in Chinese the Chinese government has deemed the album inappropriate for the public and now "Chinese Democracy " is banned in China.

Sorry. I began my traditional anti-Chicomm rant and submitted it before I noticed the topic to be GnR. Nah. The album is overrated. I like their earlier work. ;-)

Please read up on the destruction of Tibet before believing of a democratic China. In my opinion, they know that they have been walking a thin line for decades now and are just playing the media game to appease those that they've pissed off.

The new band should have been called W.A.R or something like that because effectively it is his own dictatorship I mean band. Honestly, the album would have been more well received under a new name rather than G n'R.

No, it is awful. I tried to give it a chance and thought there were maybe two or three good songs on the entire album. Please go away Axl.
