Totally addicted to this coffee from Malaysia called Gano Excel. They mail me a big box every month. It's healthy coffee actually made from reishi mushroom..which sounds hideous but it does not taste like mushroom at all, believe me. If I start to run out, I absolutely panic, ha ha!

I just love black coffee, you develop a distinguishing taste for different kinds this way and helps me to pick which ones I like I am always trying different ones, so I can't say I have a real favorite but I would love to try any new ones that you may have in mind

Folgers/Maxwell House. That kind of coffee. Flavor? Black and bitter, thank you! I don't drink coffee all that much, but that's the way I like it!

Brand? Once upon a time coffee was green and if you wanted to drink it you had to roast it (to turn it brown, develop the flavour and make it brittle enough to grind) and grind it and then you could brew it and it was fresh and good (although variable because of crude roasting processes). Coffee is good for about 1 week after roasting and far less after grinding. No commercial coffee is fresh. The bitter taste is caused by rancidity that develops shortly after roasting. Truly fresh coffee is slightly sweet. with an aroma that's totally unlike any commercial coffee. Somehow Folgers convinced people to trade convenience for qualaity and thus was the empire forged. I like Costa Rica and Sumatra coffees because they're pretty good, and cheap but there are many varieties out there, many far better. and one I can't stand is columbian coffee. Folgers uses columbian coffee. and flavour? Coffee is probably the most complex drink available anywhere. The only flavouring I've found that improves it at all is Tia Maria, a coffee-based liqueur. And let's face it, if you were a dealer and making (say) raspberry coffee, would you use your best coffee in the mix? You can have what you like but I'll take mine straight, black, no sugar. But you might could talk me into a glass of whisky on the side.
