Putting aside regional rivalries - big cities are essentially the same as each other, and small towns are essentially the same as each other...agree or disagree?

Oh no way. LA is very different from San Francisco or Vancouver or London. Of course all large cities have certain things in common too, but the individual variations are vast. I just came back from Taipei, which is about as different from any city I've ever seen as I can imagine!

The only similarities I see really is that all of them tend to have a poor area, and all seem to have an affluent area. I don't know of any that are made up of people who are all of the same uniform income and status.
