Why are most of the ADD/ADHD, Autism, and Aspergers sites geared more towards parents of afflicted young children than towards afflicted adults?

I don't know, but have you been to www.weareautism.org? It's for those on the spectrum as well as friends/family/supporters/researchers.

I think because generally afflicted adults were the children and have gotten the knowledge through the years of suffering with the disorder.

Well considering many adults go undiagnosed as children in the older generation as far as ADD/ADHD this wasn't a disorder that was really thought to be real then now I believe it can be over diagnosed at times making it to popular there for more information, more web sites etc. Not that I don't know that it is real as my son has it and so many people in my hubby's family. But for many generation's they were just told the kids were hyper-active and this was all that was the problem with them. I worked for a teacher who wasn't diagnosed till she was in her 40's and she said it finally answered so many questions for her.
