Yes because my Mother couldn't cook anything at all. Trust me I mean anything I remember once she forgot to cut a hole in a frozen burrito package and caused it to explode in the microwave but I love her anyways.

I suspect my friend Eli is the best cook I know. He's given me a few tasty sounding recipes and anybody who enjoys making their own pasta must be wonderful in the kitchen. I wouldn't know though, BECAUSE HE'S NEVER COOKED FOR ME. Huh. You can go ahead and feel guilty, Eli. ;)

I had one boyfriend who was a great cook who I think might have been on par with mother. Maybe.

My mother could cook some things (mostly desserts), but as far as actual food goes, it was mostly out of a box. I actually could say that "I" am a better cook than my mother...

My maternal grandmother was the best, best, best! My mother was pretty good and my brother can cook almost as good . . . better than me. I used to be ok, but now I don't cook very often and I seem to get stressed with too many pots on the stove and nothing gets to the table at the same time.
