Seriously, I ask that myself... were they about to leap out because of a life or death situation.... or were they snatched up, and kidnapped and thats is how the shoe got in the middle of the road

Maybe you were dashing home at midnight, and needed to get there before your coach turned back into a pumpkin... etc

I too wonder that all the time. I think of all these scenarios that lead to a lost shoe. I wonder when person knows his shoe is missing. Does he arrive home and says ohcrap i lost my shoes. Like how far does the person go before realizing Hey wheres my shoe.

I have seen a few reasons. 1. someone was hauling off discarded items which had a pair of old shoes in the back of a truck and the shoe fell out. 2. dogs like to drag stuff off and play with it could be they found someones shoe they took off outside and the dog used it like a toy and it ended up in the road. 3. I knew a girl once her boyfriend broke up with her and she got mad and took his belongings for a ride, discarding articles one at a time out the window as she sped down the road.

Gruesome truth - shoes always come off and are left in the middle of the road after a pedestrian has been hit by a car. Creeped you all out now, haven't I? (sorry!)

How? It's an art. You've got to have juuuuust the right touch to do it. You have to clip the pedestrians just so.

You forget to tie it before you cross the street near our house. The traffic is so fast and thick that you have to run like h*** to keep from getting run over. It just flies off when you dodge that ice cream truck.

Okay, so I stepped on this sticker bud thingy cuz I hadn't mowed the yard yet cuz I was gonna pull the weeds, so they're all high, and I was about to get into the car and I had my shoes in my hand, so I pulled the sticker bud thingy out of my foot and put my shoe on, but then I stepped on another one so I sat the other shoe on top of the car and pull out the sticker and spilled some coffee on myself so I hurried up and got into the car so I could wipe the coffee off, but the leather seat was cold so I turned the engine on so the car could warm up and I saw on the radio that I was late for work so instead of waiting to warm the car up I just shut the door and sped off, but then I hear this loud thud noise on my trunk at the same time I feel a draft on my left foot so I look in the rear view mirror and there's my shoe tumbling in the wind but I was in a hurry and I had some boots in the car so I just put those on when I got to work and that's how my shoe wound up in the middle of the road.
