What made your favorite Teacher (of any grade or level) so special?

My Sanskrit teacher at high school level. He taught us everything that was in the syllabus. But he didn't stop at that. He talked about what fascinated him about the language. He found time to arouse an interest in our minds about the ancient language. He succeeded,atleast in my case. Even after leaving school, while studying economics and statistics in college, the interest in Sanskrit remained. I kept reading and mastering the language. I am what I am today because of what I read in the ancient Sanskrit texts. Some of the ancient wisdom has got rubbed onto my being. I must thank my Sanskrit teacher for that.

His personal interest in me. He really tried to give all of us students equal personal interest. Some of the students never appreciated it and lost it, others like me, learned a lot and got information in extra time, that the others never got.
