  • Sorry, way too broad a question. Try learning a few "scales" and just start picking while hitting only the notes in the scale. I have found that if you can repeat a series of notes more than once, you just might be making music.
  • dude! go to google and type in chordbook...its an interactive source that can also help with notes...there are many other sources online that you can go to to get notes...GO TO GOOGLE! since that really wasnt "answering the question"...on the bottom string (thinnest) is high "E". if you presson the first fret you will get an "F" the second fret is an "F#" the third is a "G" then "G#"...etc. as long as u no ur alphabet ull b ok!on the next string up its the same idea. play the open string and ull get a "B". the first fret is a "C", second fret is a "C#" and the third is a "D".the g string is the third from the bottom, second fret is an "A" (i no doesnt go with the pattern but its something that needs to b memorized. this is because the first fret is a "G#" and it goes on from fret to fret in the same way...the "D" string is the fourth from the bottom, the second fret is an "E" and the third is the "F"the 5th from the bottom is the "A" string. the second fret is a "B" and the third is a "C". on the last and thickest string, is the low "E". the first fret is an "F" and the third is a "G"...hope it helped someone cuz i no im like a year late for you :/
  • Try this lick, from the 3rd fret of the 1st string working your way DOWN to the second fret of the 4th string: G-E-D-B-A-G-E-D-E It's good for blues, rock or country.
