Something personalised. For example, I have 3 friends in real life, here are the presents I would give them... 1. A bottle of whisky, single Scottish malt. Because he is a whisky lover. 2. A skateboard wheel set, because he is a skateboarder. 3. A .net programming book, because he is a .net programmer.

I think a donation to charity in their name is a great idea.

Something small and personal to each individual. Not the same to each one. Unless it is something like a silk scarf etc in their favourite colours.
