Well, I have a theory that in the case of a female performer, the pole and how she utilizes it in her act has a highly symbolic element, if you know what I mean. Doesn't seem to work that well with dudes.

Because the pole is a symbol for...you know. And besides, guys bodies are like jeeps. They weren't made for gyrating. They're too boxy.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder...personally I wouldn't want to see a man pole dance or lap dance...but that's just me!

Men lack the "curves" that make women look "sexy and slithery" dancing on a slender pole. They look better "sliding straight down" on one----just ask any firefighter with a hairy chest! ;)
