Should AB create an "elaborate" section to "further explain" questions that exceed character limitations? (kinda like a comment, but accessible only to the asker)

Yes, but I think that you know how I feel about it. I think that it would encourage more people to put more thought into their questions. I do understand that for the sake of being able to see the full question at a glance that their has to be a limit. But to be able to give a better perspective without having to wait for someone to answer or by answering you own question could only help.

That would be nice. It would save a lot of misunderstandings.

Yes. The way that it is now you have to put any elaboration or clarification as an answer and it can get lost among the other answers. That would be a good way to allow a question to have more substance. Good idea.

That would still annoy ABers who are annoyed by this but it might be better than a pointsable area (if they made it non pointsable). I think that would be a good idea.

Yes, because simply increasing the character limitation is not the answer. Most people skip right past a long-worded question, while the abbreviated ones often yeild a lot of assumptions. Then, you have to deal with the assumptions on each & every answer, instead of just one place for everyone.

Yes, very often I feel the need to simplify the question hence loosing the meaning from time to time. Hi Michael!! :)
