I can't speak for others, but for myself personally, I voted for the man for his intelligence, his sense of fairness, and what has been called by people who have known him since college, his unique ability to bring people together. I couldn't care less what color he is, or where his daddy came from. And for the record, I'm an old white lady, part of a group who was considered least likely to vote for him.
