I would like to see high heels they used to call Springolaters. They were open backed heels with elastic in the arch area to keep them on your feet very snug.They were made mainly in the 50,s.I found a pair in a consignment shop a couple years ago and there very comfortable.

I bought a pair of them in the early 80's to go with a LBD for Christmas party. I loved them, they didn't have the flip flop sound when I walked, and they didn't dangle on my toes when I was sitting with my legs crossed.
