Exactly how does pregnancy occur? Besides abstinence how can it be prevented? I can't be abstinent--not even an option.

Simple. His sperm cell comes in contact with your egg cell. They join together and a baby is started. It can be prevented by making sure his sperm cell does not match up with your egg cell. If you are totally serious on this question, I would suggest that you visit a Planned Parenthood clinic and sit with a counselor and discuss the whole pregnancy process and ways to prevent it.
