  • Regardless of the type of oil you use, it's always best to change your oil as suggested by the owners manual. Some synthetic oils can last up to over 15,000 miles (Mobil1 Extended drain interval), and others up to even 25,000 (Amsoil), but this doesn't mean that you would actually want to wait that long to change it. In your case, I would say to check your manual, and if anything, change it within 1000 miles over it's recommended mileage if you're using synthetic, just to be safe. There are places that you can have it changed for as little as 10 bucks. So it's better safe than sorry. Got it? Good.
