  • I think I've heard something about bacteria building up when you reuse water bottles. Might be wrong but I know I've heard not to do this.
  • Im sure you could.. little germies can go anywhere :/
  • there is something called bisphenol that builds up. scientists know it makes babies sick but they still arent sure what it does to adults.
  • Probably. I heard something about backwash staying in there. Eh. I do that and use a new bottle every week.
  • I put the odd one in the dishwasher and re-use them now and again, it can't be any worse than washing a cup/mug/dinnerplate and re-using them :o)
  • I read that the plastic starts to break down after a few uses and Its actually a Carcinogen. If you Use the bottle to Freeze water that supposedly speeds up the process.
  • I've never gotten sick from it, but I don't use the same one for long periods of time
  • Two things 1) With out thorough sanitizing between uses, bacteria build up and be transfered to your system 2) Although most plastic does not biodegrade in short periods of time, most plastic water bottles are made of recyclable plastics and these can release dangerous chemicals into the water after just a few reuses.
  • I do it all the time and havn't gotten sick from it yet.
  • I've heard you can. If you want to do that I would recommend washing/sterilizing them at least once a week to get rid of any germs.
