That sounds more like work, to me.

I was on the Carnival Miracle for my friend's wedding - first and last cruise - very disappointed

The shorter 3 day Carnival cruises can have a more party-like atmosphere but certainly not a "drunk fest". I would add that spring break cruises might be the exception.

if you want drunk fest, go to Germany during October for Oktoberfest. in 1810, a royal couple got married and they partied for like, a week. they still hold this today as the largest consumption of beer in Germany every year.

When I was 21 I went on a 4 day Carnival Cruise with a group of 30 friends...I had a blast...it certanily was a drunk fest for us. I also went on a 7 day Carnival Cruise for my honeymoon six months ago...not that exicting I didn't even drink the whole cruise...7 days is too long on a boat. And there were a lot of old people on the boat. I would suggest going with a group of friends on the 3-4 day cruise....it's primarly young people because they are more affordable than the longer cruises.

Not for most people it isn't. Both on Carnival Cruises and all-inclusive resorts in places like Cancun, there are always a few guys (usually about ten at any time) who spend all their time at the bar. How sad for them! Everyone else was out scuba diving, sailing, paragliding and all sorts of other fun things, while these guys spent each day making asses of themselves. They could have stayed home and gotten drunk under a sun lamp, and spent a lot less.

No, it is not. Unless you go during March break! I have been on several Carnival Cruises....saw 1 drunk the whole time who was discretely removed from the 'casino' without anyone being any the wiser! I am sure there are those who do get drunk....but the drinks are not free, so it is probably no worse than anywhere else where the drinks are expensive! I would highly recommend a Carnival Cruise.

my mom took one for 7 days and she said she would NEVER take another one cause she was really disappointed. She had fun but she said that most of the people there stayed drunk the entire cruise and that you couldn't go anywhere without smelling alcohol or seeing a drunk idiot. So, I have to go by what she said and agree

My wife and I have gone on 8 Carnival cruises. We always go on the 3/4 day cruise. A week is a long time to be on the boat. Each cruise has many different things to see and enjoy. They have parties on deck and quieter areas with pools as well. The shows are great and you won't see the drinking, but the bars are full every night. You will have a very enjoyable time, but they are not drunkfests, You'll meet people from every background. enjoy.

I been on a number of cruises but not Carnival. No one I who who's taken one would do it again, except maybe college kids?
-
Yep, I have and it sucked

Yes my friends & I planned on going to the Bahamas, unfortunately it was doing hurricane season so we were unable to dock-we had fun though, at the end almost everyone on the boat knew us and we were one shot away from alcohol poisoning!!!!

yes and yes

Carnival is noted mostly as a family cruise.

Been on 2 Carnival cruises and they used to have a reputation as a drunk fest and they still do on the quickie cruises especially at Spring Break. Nowadays they are very family oriented but there are poor excuses for humans on every cruise 7 days is not long enough but it does seem to eliminate most of the ones going on cruises just to drink
