  • yep, i totally know what you mean sevilla has a very particular lifestyle. i love how you can walk anywhere in the city and tapa's and beer in the bars on the streets.. i would say it is REALLY HOT in july, so don't miss that!
  • I went there once for a day ! This was to see Chelsea play Real Betis and I was struck with how lovely it was , especially the orange tree lined streets. Chelsea won as well so you could say I have very fond memories !
  • Yes, I actually lived in the capital for two months—plus made several trips there, while living five months in Huelva—and finally, in the pueblo of Alcalá de Guadaira for another two months. One of my funniest memories, however, happened during my first month (of almost two years) in Spain. It was my first Semana Santa and my friends and I (all missionaries, though dressed down at the moment, thank goodness) went out after proselytizing hours to watch a few of the pasos. Somewhere along the way, we were innocently walking down a street when a security guard closed off a barricade, apparently not noticing us. The crowd on the right side of the barricade was packed tightly enough to make sardines uncomfortable, but on our side it was completely open—that is, unless you count the multi-ton Virgin Mary float coming right at us. We honestly didn’t mean any disrespect; we were just genuinely afraid for our lives. We had only one way out: we ran ahead of la Virgen, right through the tunnel made by the Nazarenos’ candles—hot wax dripping all over us—until we came to an alley and got the heck out of there before somebody strung us up for our sacrilege. The Nazarenos were NOT happy, and I never did get all the wax out of my shirt. ;-)
  • I've been to Spain many times but never Sevilla. I loved it and really miss it too, wish I could go back, just for a day, and see it again to make sure it wasn`t all a dream and that I really ws there.
