Wow, that's a tough but good question !! Both did such a great job playing the evil role, but I think Vincent Price was a better actor.

Vincent Price. Jack Palance, after all, did one-hand pushups on the stage at one of those awards affairs when he was in his 70's..I think it might have been the Academy Awards or the Emmys. In any case, that is what I visualize when I hear his name.! :)

Jack Palance. While both could easily play an evil character and I believe both could even play the menacing exterior with a "soft sap" inside ... I really think Jack Palance could infuse "pure evil" more believably. Vincent Price is just associated with horror films more often, but think he could just as easily have done some other kinds of roles if he had wanted to.

Vincent Price, hands down!! The timbre of his voice adds to the character and his diction is superb! I have some tapes of him reciting Edgar Allen Poe,the evil seeps through. Even though I'm not a big Michael Jackson fan, Price did some of the work on the Thriller video.

Vincent Price. When I was a kid I loved the Dr. Phibes movies. Price was great. I just looked and he was in 177 movies!
