Some would say it is male bashing. Personally i don't, mind you it can probably be backed up by facts and figures. I am male by the way.
-
No, it's just based on statistic facts. I would use the term "The majority" rather than most however.
-
Statistically it would probably be supported. I would change the phrasing a little.
-
statistically, you are probably correct but women are making great strides
-
It's not bashing if there are facts to back it up.
-
Because of the way it is phrased it doesn't come across as to male bashing, but like Painful Ginsu said, maybe "the majority" would be a more politically correct term.
-
I suppose so because of the way the statement is phrased. It is almost certianly true, however it seems to be accusatory, as though all men have to be responsible for these statistics. But then, just to be inflammatory, how about the statement "most victims of rape and murder are women", does that infer that women are weak? No. It's just the way that statistics can be used for both good and bad statements.
-
Most rape is committed by men. Seems that petition floating around on the Internet a while back was unable to convince women to take on said activity. Oh, well. Most killing is also committed by men. Soldiers are predominantly male, and most murders are committed by males. So, since both statements are true, it's not male bashing. It's stating the truth.
-
well it is stereotyping!
-
On it's own, no. It's just statistically true. If you were to use it to say something like "The fact that most killing and rape is commited by men means that most men must secretly have the desire to commit murder and rape." THAT would be male bashing.
-
No because if you are stating fact you are stating fact..
-
Not if it is accurate information. Always watch the context in your statement and the tone of your voice and body language. Sometimes those are the things that people read that get people misreading you.
-
No, its considered essentially the truth.
-
It depends on how it is used and the tone of your language. If you are stating a stastic and you do not generalise about men, then it is not male bashing in my book.
