It's not, that's why it's a state law and the religious right want to make a constitutional amendment.

Haha! That is one of the best questions I've seen all day. I will gladly debate anyone on this topic, because people seem to hate racism, but don't care that they're discriminating homosexuals! It's totally retarded... Plus four for the retard who minused two you. What people need to learn is to not downrate people based on their opinions, but rather on how HELPFUL their answer or question is. This, much to some people's retarded minds, is a great question that people NEED TO ANSWER SOON. You rule.

you should be able to marry anyone of any sex its about love and committment not about the sex of a person
-
It's not unconstitutional.
-
It's not. The law basically says that if it is not specifically mentioned in the constitution it is a matter for each state to decide. The constitution does not deal with marriage. This is why marriage is legal in Massachusetts.
-
It's legal here in Massachusetts, and the state constitution is interpreted by our Supreme Judicial Court as supporting it.
-
i've never heard of anyone say allowing gays to marry is unconstitutional the places where it has been outlawed it has been the express will of the majority of the electorate i do not have an opinion one way or the other on the topic but i do believe voting results need to be respected, whichever the outcome. honestly, i think if gays continue to get this put on each ballot it will eventually pass. people get bored of these debates
-
It CA it is unconstitutional the people spoke and voted and added a ban to their Constitution.
-
The US constitution says nothing about it, but there are some state statutes that prohibit it.
-
Dunno, quite, honestly, we should be worrying about more constitutional things like our right to free assembly having been taken away
-
The argument that low-brows usually make is that the Constitution doesn't say anything about gay marriage therefore it is unconstitutional. Then they go on to say "It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!" like they are being clever.
