Why do certain beetles, such as rhinoceros beetles, have horns (well, horn-like structures I guess?)

    Theory seems to support that these little guys use their horns to 'flip' each other in territorial / mating 'battles'. He who can 'flip' or 'throw' the other using his horns wins. I've seen a few videos of these guys fighting -- just like bulls -- and quite fun to watch!
