  • Perhaps that my children may one day reject the one true faith. But also I think every person is a bit afraid of having children who turn into criminals or who are born with abnormalities. And I think I'm afraid of losing one too. I mean if I had a kid and he/she died by accident I think that would tear me up inside. I heard about some parents that lost all three of their kids (Ages 16/14/11) in one car accident. I mean how do you cope with that?
  • So far my worse fears HAVE come true. Mental illness, death of a child, behavors at school and home that have alerted the police. Okay so one at a time. Mental illness: Its the toughest thing I have ever been through as parent. The illness makes the child a COMPLETELY unruley child, completely unable to socially mesh with others. To place a child in a psych unit is the most painful thing a parent of a mentally ill child has to do. The child has been in 2 times and currently is going to be going back soon. Its to dangerous for the other children in the home. He hijacks the house. Death of a child: terribly painful, I cry less now then 4 years a go. But I still cry often enough. Its a pain that fades a bit but never stops hurting! The behaviors that have alerted police well not only is a completely helpless feeling but is a indication of what may be clearly in our future for this child. I fear jail-prison because the mental illness makes him not think first just attack. He has stabbed his sisters several times with pens. Unspeakable violence towards us family members. But hes like a 6 yr old mentally. Unfortanely the legal system will not care if the kidhas a illness if he does something illegal. They will charge him regardless. My greatest fear yes has a daily place in my home. PAINFUL!!!
