  • Sorry, I found out this answer the other day. An old tow truck driver named Walt told me it was because 2 major suppliers of this fuel just got shut down so they are on a shortage.
  • Right now you can't BUY a diesel in California because of particulate >emissions issues and diesel is more expensive than regular unleaded >and maybe mid-grade. At least in the Sacramento area but I think >that's true state-wide.
  • GREED, THE OIL COMPANIES KNOW THAT MOST SUPPLIES, EQUIPTMENT, ETC. IS DELIVERED ON THE HIGHWAYS BY SEMI-RIGS AND THEY ALL RUN ON DIESEL, SO THEY CHARGE MORE.
  • Diesel has always been more expensive than regular gas, I think
  • It should be less expensive because it takes less processing to produce a gallon of diesel than a gallon of gasoline from the same barrel of crude!
  • here in canada it's because it's of new regulations... they have to refine it twice instead of once, which costs more money... damn government...
